You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, document observations, and provide professional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.09 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, entrances, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned. Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with emergency responders when needed. Assist with access control, crowd management, directions, and maintaining orderly conditions at assigned government transportation locations. Minimum Requirements: A valid New York State Security Guard License is required. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
