Financial Controller

A growing, entrepreneurial company is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations and help scale the finance function for future growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional who thrives in a small-company environment, enjoys rolling up their sleeves, and has experience building processes, driving efficiencies, and supporting strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger management. Ensure compliance with sales tax and other regulatory requirements. Manage the company's accounting processes and internal controls. Lead financial systems and process improvement initiatives, including system implementations and upgrades. Partner with leadership to support business growth, forecasting, and decision-making. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports. Manage external relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and other service providers. Build and develop the accounting team as the company continues to grow. Qualifications 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Prior experience in a subscription-based business model required. Experience working in a small, entrepreneurial companies where a hands-on approach is essential. Proven success leading or playing a key role in an ERP or system implementation . Strong knowledge of sales tax compliance and tax oversight . Leadership experience with the ability to build and mentor teams. CPA preferred.
