MyMichigan Medical Center Tawas has an opportunity for a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the MyMichigan Hospital Medicine team in Tawas, MI! A strong focus of this inpatient role will be patient admissions management and complex medical care management. This is a night position with 7 on 7 off from 7 p.m. 7 a.m.

Candidates with inpatient experience are highly preferred. This APP must possess great communication and clinical skills.

APP's will work in conjunction with hospitalist physicians. There is a robust onboarding and training program as well as a formal mentorship program.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients who are admitted. This can include managing chronic conditions, addressing acute medical issues, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

This position will require performing procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, TDC, chest tubes, lines, and medports.

Certifications and Licensures

• AHA approved BLS Certification
• AHA approved ACLS Certification

Required Education

• Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Experience preferred, new grads will be considered
