Quality Technician - 1st Shift

Job Description The Quality Technician will ensure quality goals are met through attention to detail, defect detection and corrective/preventative action, with strong internal partnerships with the production department. This role will also have several clerical duties. Essential Functions Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping. Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations. Properly record and dispose of non-conforming material. Required to understand the functions of the production lines. Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services as needed. Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications. Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records. Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence. Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner. Required to work on any additional project that is deemed necessary by management. · Store, manage, and track records and documents. · Calibration (Calipers, tape measures and other gages) · Customer portal entry · Saw downtime/scrap recording · Internal process audits/ corrective action · Training verification · Document control · PPAP documentation · Understand and follow ISO procedures. · All other duties assigned by Management.
