Job Title: Rehabilitation Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Rehab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: - Acute experience in rehabilitation nursing - Experience with patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injuries - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills - Warm and welcoming demeanor Description: This position is for a Rehabilitation Nurse in an inpatient acute rehabilitation setting. The nurse will provide care and specialized treatment to individuals recovering from severe injuries or illnesses. Rehabilitation programs are customized to meet the individual needs of patients throughout their recovery journey. The goal is to maximize health, function, and quality of life through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation. The nurse will work with a patient population that may include adults with a wide range of diagnoses. The nurse will be responsible for maintaining patient ratios as prescribed and using equipment such as IV pumps and EKG machines. Electronic health records will be managed using relevant software. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with the healthcare team. Weekend hours will be required on an every-other-weekend basis.
