Quality Inspector

Quality Assurance InspectorOur Quality Assurance Inspectors are responsible for performing inspections, audits of purchased parts, units, materials, equipment, panel/module level assemblies and quality control programs to specifications. Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications and lists to approve or reject units. Maintains support documentation and reviews performance data. Ensures in-process and finished products meet company and customer requirements. Determines or assists in determining methods and procedures necessary for inspection. Validates products and documentation for compliance to all applicable requirements and prepares items for presentation to the customer for acceptance and delivery. Inspectors also perform First Article Inspections and Finished Goods Testing. The inspector must possess good communication abilities, be flexible and able to lift up to 30 lbs.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the incoming material inspections of products and raw materials including metals and sub tier vendor products.Inspects various metal products at various stages of the manufacturing process, and tests products for a variety of qualitiesInterfaces with Manufacturing, Quality and Process Engineering Staff as needed on the interpretation of Customer and Internal Engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.Able to use simple hand tools and basic measurement equipment such as digital calipers, micrometers. Depth gauges etc.Act as an internal auditor responsible in the implementation and conformance to Quality standards of AS9100 and IATF as well as ISO 14001 and OSHA safety requirements.Will assist manufacturing if required to produce products that meet or exceed customer expectations.Control of non-conforming product and maintenance of accurate records.May perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload.Preferred Skills and ExperienceTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
