Senior Investment Advisor

General Function Provides exemplary client service as the client‑facing investment expert for Private Bank clients. Primarily focused on growing AUM through business development activities in partnership with the Private Bank team. Representative of Fifth Third’s investment management philosophy and platform, delivering the firm’s view of the economy and markets to clients, prospects, and business partners. Acts in partnership with the Wealth Management Advisor (WMA) to retain and attract new investment assets. Responsible and accountable for risk, openly exchanging ideas and concerns to help clients achieve investment goals while operating within the Bank’s risk appetite. Achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Proactively communicate and collaborate with WMAs to acquire new investment‑related business opportunities. Serve and expand investment relationships with existing clients through meetings, client‑acquisition activities, and learning about client investment goals. Engage in ongoing, proactive client communications for all investment‑related needs. Set client goals and develop an Investment Policy Statement (IPS) for each client portfolio tied to the client’s financial plan. Ensure construction and ongoing management of investment portfolios reflect the established IPS. Achieve annual sales goals by supporting acquisition of new households and retention of existing assets under management. Network internally and externally to support business growth. Leverage internal investment support teams for initial and ongoing portfolio construction. Maintain strong and proactive communication with clients, prospects, and team members. Maintain awareness of the IMG toolbox, techniques, products, and current strategy. Keep informed of market trends and analyze their effects on client portfolios. Ensure adherence to Fifth Third’s investment policies and procedures. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required BS/BA required; Business Administration, Finance, or Economics preferred. Advanced degree such as CFA, CFP, or MBA desirable. 8+ years of clearly defined investment management experience focused on structuring portfolios that align the firm’s investment approach with client goals. Excellent investment acumen and sophisticated investment knowledge. Significant sales and client retention experience. Ability to excel in an environment that stresses both individual accountability and team‑based performance. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, and presentation skills. Demonstrated proficiency in delivery of branded presentations, materials, and solutions. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills. Successful independent decision‑making abilities. Advanced relationship‑management skills. Sense of urgency and continual drive to achieve results. SENIOR INVESTMENT ADVISOR – Total Base Pay Range US$121,900.00 – $262,100.00 per year.
