Mechanical Systems Inspector (Ships) Leader

Summary

You will serve as a MECHANICAL SYSTEMS INSPECTOR (SHIPS) LEADER in the Non-Nuclear Inspection Division Inspection Branch 133.2 of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

• You will explain changes to technical procedures and determine proper material safety precautions.
• You will advise other employees on existing instructions to ensure deadlines are met.
• You will monitor and ensure safety requirements are followed and tools and equipment are used properly.
• You will provide oral and written instruction outlining quality and quantity of work and inspection requirements and general work/inspection methods and procedures.
• You will also perform the duties of a Mechanical Inspector; setting the pace including demonstrating proper methods.
