This role provides critical support to engineers leading projects in areas such as:Material development across thermoplastics, thermosets, sealants, glass, coatings, and adhesivesCorner welding and joining technologiesPackaging materials and constructionFenestration product life prediction testingProduct development and designJob ResponsibilitiesPrimary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide technical support for assigned work areas, including determining appropriate test procedures, reporting clear and accurate results, and participating in continuous improvement activitiesCollaborate with engineers to prepare, develop, test, and evaluate materials, parts, products, and processesAssist engineers in drawing conclusions and informing decisions on new and existing product development and quality initiativesPrepare and maintain detailed documentation of test methods and data under directionManage tasks with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and meet project deadlinesPresent technical information and proposals to team membersCreate basic prototypes and fixtures to support assigned work areas by executing concepts developed by othersWork independently to complete assigned tasks as neededOccasional travel required (approximately 5%); primary work location is Bayport, MNMinimum Qualifications2-year technical degree or equivalent experienceGeneral knowledge and use of computers and basic software (Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Strong interest and basic aptitude for technical or scientific workAbility to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively as part of a teamFlexibility to work varied hours to support testing assignments and deadlinesAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbsPreferred Qualifications1–2 years of experience in material characterization/testingAbility to operate power industrial trucks (forklift, pallet jack, etc.)Strong math, science, mechanical, and experimental skillsWillingness to learn and operate new software and equipmentPAY RANGE:$24.95 - $36.15CULTURE AND BENEFITS:At Andersen, we believe our people are at the heart of everything we do.
