Great Work Environment!Compensation: $44-$45SUN-THURS 7:00AM - 3:30PMMust be flexible on shift and scheduleThe Lead Gse Technician is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and servicing of both motorized and non-motorized ground support equipment used in airport operations. This leadership role involves performing advanced diagnostics and repairs, mentoring technicians, coordinating daily work assignments, and ensuring all equipment is maintained in accordance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications. The Lead Gse Technician plays a key role in maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring operational efficiency across airport support functions. Additionally, you are involved in training staff, managing inventory of parts and supplies, and collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless support for airport operations.ResponsibilitiesOversee and coordinate daily operations of the ground support equipment maintenance teamProvide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians in equipment repair and maintenanceEnsure all ground support equipment is maintained and repaired according to industry standards and safety regulationsPlan and schedule routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of ground support equipmentDiagnose complex equipment malfunctions and oversee troubleshooting proceduresMonitor the performance of team members and provide feedback and coachingDevelop and implement maintenance procedures and best practices to enhance operational efficiencyCoordinate with other departments for equipment needs and operational supportManage inventory of parts and supplies required for maintenance tasksPrepare and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performanceStay informed about the latest advancements in ground support equipment and technologiesParticipate in budget planning and control costs related to equipment maintenanceRespond to and manage emergency repair needs to minimize downtimeEnsure compliance with environmental standards in maintenance activitiesLead safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety within the teamExemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standardsPerform any additional duties as assigned by managementQualifications18 years of age or olderEligible to work in the United States2 years of proven experience in ground support equipment maintenance and repair, with a track record in a leadership or supervisory roleStrong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systemsExcellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skillsAbility to train and mentor staff in equipment maintenance and repair techniquesMust have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving recordCommunicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile DevicesEffectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic meansPass a background check and drug screenEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidaysTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
