Staff Accountant

Stonebrook Exterior is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable and ensuring that all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner. In the construction industry, this includes handling subcontractor payments, lien waivers, and compliance with project-specific billing requirements. Essential Job Functions Onboard vendors and subcontractors. Input, route, and correctly code invoices in TimberScan and Sage Intacct. Input use tax coding on invoices. Oversee weekly payment processing including checks, ACH, EFT, Credit Card payments. Monitor automatic payments from company bank accounts and make sure invoice is recorded in the company system. Posting payments in Sage Intacct. Reconcile and review vendor statements. Monitor the AP email inbox and respond to vendors. Answer and respond to vendor phone calls. Ensure all monthly recurring invoices are received. Ensure subcontractor insurance information is correct. File monthly, quarterly, annual use taxes with multiple state reporting. Other related duties as assigned. Preferred Talents Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Familiarity with construction billing practices, including AIA documents and lien releases. Experience with job costing and project-based accounting. Knowledge of construction compliance requirements (e.g., W-9s, COIs, lien waivers). Qualifications Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field. 2–4 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in the construction industry. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint, QuickBooks). GL experience preferred. Basic Excel skills a must exporting and formatting data.
