As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver in Columbus, OH , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule Friday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”) : You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program : In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and assigned security‑related responsibilities at a manufacturing and industrial location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security‑related concerns. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information as directed, and help support authorized access for personnel, contractors, and deliveries. Document incidents, daily activities, and irregular conditions in required reports, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate. Minimum Requirements A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
