Procurement Specialist

Position Summary

Storee Construction is seeking a highly detail-oriented

Procurement Specialist to support project and operational purchasing needs through vendor coordination, material sourcing, and accurate transaction processing. This role is responsible for sourcing materials and equipment, evaluating vendor options, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring invoices are accurately matched, coded, and recorded to support job cost tracking. The ideal candidate will have strong purchasing judgment, excellent accuracy, and the ability to work across multiple systems while applying accounting principles to purchasing transactions. Experience in procurement, accounts payable/receivable, billing, or construction-related purchasing is highly beneficial.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Source materials, supplies, and equipment from vendors based on project and operational needs.
• Evaluate vendor pricing, availability, and alternatives to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Process order requests and issue purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Match purchase orders to invoices and verify pricing, quantities, and supporting documentation.
• Code invoices to the correct cost codes, cost categories, and general ledger codes.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date purchasing and invoice records.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies, missing information, or shipment issues.
• Verify receipt of purchased items and ensure documentation is complete and updated in the accounting system.

Education/Experience/Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong data entry skills with the ability to manage a high volume of transactions.
• Experience in procurement, purchasing, accounting, billing, or construction preferred.
• Experience with vendor sourcing, price comparison, purchase order management, or invoice coding strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in basic computer and software skills as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong vendor relationship management, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain priorities in a dynamic environment.
