SAP S/4 Architect

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4 EWM & Supply Chain Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of end-to-end warehouse and supply chain solutions within a Healthcare and Life Sciences environment.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM, supply chain processes, and healthcare industry operations, including inventory traceability, regulated product handling, and distribution compliance.

The architect will work closely with business stakeholders, operations leaders, and technical teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and efficient supply chain solutions that support business growth and operational excellence.

• Minimum 6 years of SAP experience with a focus on Supply Chain and Logistics solutions.
• Minimum 3 years of SAP EWM experience, including at least one S/4HANA EWM implementation.
• Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Biotech, or Life Sciences industry experience required.
• Experience in supply chain transformation, warehouse modernization, and process optimization initiatives.
• Experience leading solution design workshops and collaborating with cross-functional business teams.
• Strong understanding of regulated supply chain environments and quality/compliance requirements.

• SAP EWM Solution Architecture
• Design and architect SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM solutions.
• Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution blueprint development.
• Configure and optimize warehouse processes, including inbound logistics, outbound fulfillment, putaway strategies, inventory management, physical inventory, wave management, RF/mobile processes, cross-docking, value-added services, supply chain process integration.
• Design integrated processes across SAP EWM, Materials Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), Transportation Management (TM).
• Ensure seamless process flow across procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution.

• Support regulated inventory management processes.
• Design solutions for lot and batch traceability, serialized inventory management, expiration-date controlled materials, restricted inventory handling, cold-chain distribution processes, product recall support.
• Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.

• Define integrations with manufacturing systems, logistics providers, warehouse automation systems, barcode/RFID solutions, transportation platforms, third-party healthcare applications.
• Support API, IDOC, and middleware-based integrations.

• Provide architectural oversight across project phases.
• Conduct solution reviews and ensure adherence to SAP best practices.
• Mentor junior consultants and support project delivery teams.
• Collaborate with program leadership to manage risks, issues, and dependencies.

• SAP Functional Expertise including SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, MM, SD, QM, TM, SAP Fiori Applications.
• Healthcare Supply Chain Knowledge including pharmaceutical distribution processes, medical device supply chain operations, product traceability and compliance, inventory control and regulatory requirements GDP/GMP awareness, recall and quality management processes.
• Technical Skills: SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM Configuration, SAP Integration Technologies, IDOCs, APIs, SAP CPI or PI/PO, Data Migration and Cutover Planning, Reporting and Analytics.

• SAP EWM Certification.
• SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain Certification.
• Experience with healthcare providers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, medical device companies, or healthcare distributors.
• Experience with warehouse automation technologies and RF solutions.
• Familiarity with SAP IBP, TM, or Advanced ATP.

• 6+ years of SAP Supply Chain experience, 3+ years of SAP EWM experience, and proven Healthcare/Pharmaceutical/Medical Device industry expertise with strong knowledge of regulated warehouse operations, inventory traceability, and SAP S/4HANA supply chain transformation programs.
