Job Description

• Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with the firm's Energy & Infrastructure sector growth objectives.
• Partner with sector leaders and partners to identify market opportunities and convert them into new business.
• Drive revenue growth through client targeting, pipeline management, key account initiatives, and cross-selling efforts.
• Lead client relationship development and expand the sector's client base across practices and offices.
• Oversee the creation of strategic pitches, proposals, and pursuit strategies for high-value opportunities.
• Direct thought leadership, public relations, rankings, and market positioning initiatives to enhance the firm's profile.
• Manage industry events, sponsorships, and conference strategies, ensuring measurable business development outcomes.
• Leverage market intelligence and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and inform strategic priorities.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing business development team while coaching partners on visibility and client development.
• Establish and track KPIs related to client growth, pitch success, market share, and overall business development performance.

The role can be based in any of the following locations: New York, Boston, Washington DC, Austin, Houston, Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Monica, Sacramento, or Seattle.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

• 10+ years of business development and marketing experience in legal or professional services, ideally within the Energy & Infrastructure sector
• Demonstrated success driving revenue growth and client development initiatives
• Strong strategic planning, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation abilities
• Proven experience managing teams and leading through influence in complex organizations
• Strong project management skills with the ability to navigate multiple priorities
• Commercially minded with the ability to anticipate market trends and identify growth opportunities

What’s on Offer

The expected salary range for this position is:

• New York City, Silicon Valley, and San Francisco $200,000 - $260,000
• Washington DC, Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Monica, Sacramento, Boston, and Seattle $200,000 - $260,000
• All Other US Locations $200,000 - $260,000

The firm is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on an estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
