DOGGY DAYCARE ATTENDANT / WALKER

Wag Club , a first-class doggy daycare offering daycare, overnight boarding, grooming, training, and walking services, is looking for a hardworking, reliable, and animal-loving Doggy Daycare Attendant/Walker to join our team!

We’re located in a beautiful waterfront setting near Downtown Brooklyn , surrounded by a fun and professional group of dog and cat lovers. We take our jobs seriously — but we definitely know when to have fun!

THE POSITION

Our Doggy Daycare Attendants are responsible for creating a safe, fun, clean, and nurturing environment for our canine guests.

This is an active, hands-on position. You’ll spend your day interacting with dogs, supervising play, walking dogs, keeping their environment clean, and making sure every dog gets the care and attention they need.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervising groups of dogs during daycare.
• Monitoring dog behavior and making sure play remains safe and appropriate.
• Understanding different dog personalities, energy levels, breeds, and temperaments.
• Providing dogs with the appropriate balance of exercise, socialization, and rest.
• Walking dogs individually and/or in groups.
• Feeding and caring for dogs according to their individual needs.
• Giving medications or special care when required.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary daycare environment.
• Cleaning up after dogs — a LOT!
• Helping with pick-ups, drop-offs, and other daily daycare responsibilities.
• Working closely with the rest of the Wag Club team.
• Jumping in wherever needed to make sure our dogs and clients receive excellent care.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

At least ONE YEAR of professional experience working with animals is REQUIRED.

Please do not apply if you have zero professional animal-care experience.

The ideal candidate is:

• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments.
• Knowledgeable about basic dog behavior and body language.
• Patient, observant, and calm under pressure.
• Energetic and physically capable of being on your feet for extended periods.
• Comfortable walking multiple dogs.
• A strong team player who is willing to jump in and help wherever needed.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A clean freak! We love our dogs, but they can be messy. Keeping the daycare clean and sanitary is a major part of the job, so you need to be willing to roll up your sleeves and get dirty.
• And most importantly... YOU MUST LOVE DOGS!

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION:

• Part-time positions currently available.
• Schedules can be flexible depending on availability and our staffing needs.
• $17–$20/hour, depending on experience , plus tips and additional commission opportunities.
• 401(k) available.
• Grooming is closed on all major holidays.
