Position Summary We are seeking a caring and reliable Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our team. The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and is passionate about early childhood education. Schedule Requirements Required hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday Key Responsibilities Support the Lead Teacher in daily routines, activities, and classroom management. Assist in preparing learning materials and maintaining a clean, organized classroom. Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration and independence. Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care. Communicate positively and professionally with children, families, and colleagues. Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred. Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred. Dependable, nurturing, and team-oriented. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage with children at their level.
