Maintenance Mechanic I

Job Overview This position involves moderately difficult construction, maintenance, and repair work on public housing, buildings, and equipment to prevent deterioration of their physical condition and to address issues as they arise. Responsibilities Perform construction, maintenance, and repair tasks on public housing properties, buildings, and equipment, ensuring timely repair and preventative care to maintain building integrity. Qualifications Graduation from a standard senior high school or successful completion of the GED test, with vocational training in building or mechanical trades. Minimum of one year experience in maintenance and repair of a variety of building and mechanical equipment. Combination of education and experience equivalent to the above requirements. Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
