Technician - Level 1

Mechanic Join our team and work on a variety of makes, models & equipment. Job Summary Sunbelt Rentals seeks a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment including Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and specialty lines such as generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Diagnose and repair defects in equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. Use mechanic’s tools of the trade. Possibly manage or coordinate work with other team members as priorities shift. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired. 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy equipment, or specialty lines (generators, pumps, HVAC, oil & gas). Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location. Mechanic’s tools of the trade may need to be provided. Physical Demands Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more; work indoors/outdoors as required.
