Major Account Manager

Job Description As a member of the Arista Sales team, you will act as the face of Arista to our customers, aligning technical resources to achieve their business outcomes. Who You'll Work With You will collaborate with skilled Customer Engineers, Professional Services, and Executive teams to help customers execute on their behalf. What You'll Do Act as a trusted advisor and implement sales strategies to exceed sales targets within a named list of 15‑20 enterprise accounts in the Chicago area. Require technical acumen and a track record of selling data center solutions. Job Responsibilities Exceed measurable sales objectives and extend the Arista brand within a named list of enterprise accounts. Utilize a consultative selling approach with key client stakeholders to address business needs across hybrid cloud computing and legacy IT systems using the Arista product portfolio. Meet with key influencers, decision‑makers, and C‑level executives to present Arista’s value proposition. Work with Arista systems engineers to design and position compelling solutions that reduce total cost of ownership. Collaborate with technology partners to identify prospects and demonstrate best‑in‑class solutions. Establish and manage key channel relationships in your territory. Formulate strategic and tactical account plans based on periodic business reviews with prospects and customers. Conduct demand generation activities such as happy hours, lunch‑n‑learns and technology forums. Collaborate with Arista peers on marketing plans and best practices. Keep up‑to‑date with technology partner solutions, competing solutions and competitor strategies. Qualifications You possess a hunter mentality and have a proven track record of technology sales, cultivating relationships with existing customers and driving new logo accounts. You are an influencer who can act as a trusted advisor to deliver business value to both end users and key business stakeholders. Minimum Job Requirements BS/BA degree or equivalent and 8+ years of technology sales experience. Proven track record of direct selling into target accounts and exceeding sales targets. Relevant data center or networking industry background is required. Strong relationships within the territory. Excellent people skills and ability to build relationships at all levels. Previous selling experience and technical acumen in one or more of the following areas: Networking, SDN, NFV, Switching, Network Automation, Routing, Data Center, Edge Computing, Network Virtualization, Hyper‑converged infrastructure, or Cloud computing. Compensation The new hire base pay for this role has a salary range of $125,000 to $162,000. The actual salary offered will depend on skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and location. The range reflects the base salary and may also include discretionary bonuses, commissions, equity, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings, and income protection.
