Key Responsibilities
- Record financial transactions in company ledgers using spreadsheets or accounting software
- Prepare and file basic financial documents
- Reconcile accounts by comparing bank statements to internal records
- Organize receipts, invoices, and physical/digital financial documents
- Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple states
- Verify timecards, hours worked, overtime, and job‐cost allocations
- Ensure payroll accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and maintain payroll records
- Assist with sales tax payments, filings, and supporting documentation
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll processing
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll information
- Strong organizational and communication skills
