ICU Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU. Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient management and ensure optimal outcomes for patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and document medications accurately according to hospital policies and the patient’s six rights.
• Assess patient condition through history, physical examination, and review of diagnostic data.
• Recognize and respond promptly to signs of cardiac, respiratory distress, or other emergencies.
• Participate in emergency procedures such as Code Blue, maintaining patient safety and effective communication.
• Educate patients and their families on care plans and discharge instructions, assessing learning needs.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and uphold patient, co-worker, and hospital privacy standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a recognized school of nursing.
• Minimum of two years recent ICU or acute care RN experience.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire or transfer.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
