Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, document responses, and identify adverse effects or complications. Perform ongoing rounds, update care plans, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and discharge planning. Document nursing care in the electronic health record (Epic) and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team. Implement and uphold infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and quality of care measures. Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and post-discharge instructions.
