Overview
Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN) – L&D in Templeton, CA. Start date 10/19/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Guaranteed 36 hours per week with a weekly pay range of $2,648 to $2,901. Shift pattern is 3x12-hour nights, with Day shift initially during the transition as internal transfers are completed, then transitioning to nights to fill a vacancy. This is a travel - temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
- Plan and provide nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients and families, including emergency situations; circulate for C-sections as needed.
- Supervise and delegate care to ancillary personnel within the scope of practice.
- Assess fetal and maternal status, amniotic fluid status, vaginal bleeding, and identify/ manage abnormalities; respond to perinatal emergencies.
- Manage labor pain control and implement appropriate alternative pain management strategies.
- Assist with epidural catheter placement and monitor status during placement and after administration.
- Educate patients and families across all stages of perinatal and postpartum care; tailor teaching to age, condition, culture, and learning readiness.
- Maintain accurate, legible, and timely documentation of nursing care and patient response; participate in multidisciplinary care planning.
- Work within the LDRP model and collaborate with the health care team to implement a coordinated care plan; no on-call requirements.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- Education: ADN required or equivalent; BSN preferred
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required
- Certifications from approved vendors per policy: AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- LDRP model experience preferred
- Eligible to practice in the listed setting; ability to work rotating shifts during transition period
