Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Templeton, California. Start date: 10/19/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range: $2,694 to $2,768 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3×12 Nights. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for obstetric patients across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, including emergency situations and circulating for C-sections.
- Supervise and delegate to ancillary staff within scope of practice; coordinate care with the health care team.
- Assess maternal and fetal status, monitor amniotic fluid, vaginal bleeding, and related conditions; recognize and respond to abnormal findings.
- Manage labor analgesia and support alternative pain control methods when appropriate; assist with epidural placement as needed and monitor status post-placement.
- Develop and implement multi-disciplinary, goal-oriented care plans; educate patients and families about perinatal and postpartum care.
- Demonstrate clinical judgment in perinatal emergencies (e.g., crash C-section, precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia) and document care accurately in the medical record.

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California) – Required
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (AS) or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Experience: Minimum two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required; Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring required; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS and AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS required
- Additional: EPIC electronic medical record experience required; LDRP model experience preferred; ability to work in a high-acuity L&D setting and manage perinatal emergencies; flexibility to transition from day shift to night shift during onboarding as internal moves occur
