Adventist HealthCare's Shady Grove Aquilino Cancer Center seeks to hire an experienced PET/Nuclear Medicine Technologist who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a PET/Nuclear Medicine Technologist you will:

• Performs Nuclear Medicine/PET examinations in accordance with the protocols established by the radiologists. Demonstrates proficiency in operating gamma cameras, SPECT/CT and PET/CT machines, uptake probes, well counters, dose calibrators, survey meters and all ancillary equipment within Nuclear Medicine department. Accurately performs documentation in all computer systems within Nuclear Medicine and Imaging Services pertinent to Nuclear Medicine (RIS, PACS, NMIS, image reformatting)
• Understands principles of radiation safety. Attends quarterly Radiation Safety Committee meetings.
• Properly identifies patients, reviews orders and selects scanning protocols in order to maximize quality and safe patient care in Nuclear Medicine.
• Maximizes patient throughput and demonstrates teamwork with coworkers by managing large patient volume.
• Works with the Director, Manager and Radiologist to develop policies, procedures and protocols including dose reduction activities.
• Maintains written protocols for each site and ensures that the protocols in the systems are consistent with the written protocols.
• Is responsible for accreditation requirements and participates in performance improvement initiatives, image quality checks and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's preferred not required.
• 5 years of experience preferred
• ARRT (R) and (CT) and (N) certified, or MRI certified (ARMRIT or ARRT (MR)), or Mammo certified (ARRT (M)), or NMTCB (CNMT) (CT), CPR
• Must have at least one specialty certification in addition to AART.
• State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license required
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Hours per Week: 40 Hours

Typical Daily Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay Range:

$37.17 - $64.44
