Compensation: $120k - $140k + 10% annual bonus + 3 weeks PTO + 401k matching (50% match on first 6%)

Position Overview

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, strong internal controls, and efficient financial processes. This role serves as a key business partner to leadership by providing financial analysis, budgeting support, and operational insights while leading and developing the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, payroll oversight, fixed assets, and budgeting activities.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and overall business results.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Provide leadership with timely and accurate financial information to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and other applicable reporting obligations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and serve as the primary liaison with auditors.
• Manage relationships with banking partners and other financial service providers.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, capitalization policies, and depreciation schedules.
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and financial systems.
• Assist with risk management initiatives and financial compliance activities.
• Support system administration and appropriate controls within accounting and financial reporting platforms.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Perform additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development activities.
• Manage team workflow and prioritize responsibilities to ensure deadlines are met accurately and efficiently.
• Provide performance feedback, coaching, and career development support.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Experience within manufacturing is required
• CPA designation is a plus.
