Dental Front Office Assistant/Treatment Coordinator (Private Practice)

Job Description Job Description The Dental Front Office Assistant/Treatment Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting a small dental team of husband-and-wife dentists by managing front desk operations and coordinating treatment plans. This role involves significant patient interaction focused on reception, scheduling, insurance verification, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and the dental team. Using Open Dental software, the assistant handles administrative tasks that ensure efficient patient flow and effective record management.

Responsibilities
Educate and explain effectively to patients their recommended treatment plan
Schedule and manage patient appointments using Open Dental software
Greet and receive patients, providing a welcoming front desk presence
Verify dental insurance coverage and benefits for patients
Communicate treatment plans and coordinate between patients and dental staff
Maintain accurate patient records and update data promptly
Provide excellent customer service ensuring patient satisfaction
Perform data entry and handle appointment follow-ups efficiently
Manage multiple administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications
Proficiency with dental software, such as Dentrix and Open Dental
Strong customer service experience and outgoing personality
Experience with dental insurance verification processes
Excellent appointment scheduling skills
Effective communication skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Bilingual proficiency (Spanish)
