Accountant Position
We are seeking a highly motivated accountant with 35 years of accounting experience and strong hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting foundation combined with experience utilizing Oracle Fusion Financials to support month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvements. This role will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial operations within a cloud-based ERP environment.
Essential Functions
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities using Oracle Fusion Financials
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments within Oracle Fusion General Ledger and Project Accounting module
- Manage account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies across multiple financial modules
- Generate and analyze financial reports using Oracle Fusion reporting tools, including Smart View and Financial Data Intelligence (FDI)
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve accounting workflows and Oracle Fusion system utilization
- Participate in Oracle Fusion enhancements, testing, upgrades, and implementation projects
- Assist in process automation initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within Oracle Fusion
Education
Four years of college resulting in a bachelor's degree or equivalent
Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses
CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification (preferred)
Experience
- 3 to 5 years in related field
- 3 + years of general ledger accounting experience
- 3 + years of accounting, auditing, or similar work
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Fusion modules including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Cash Management
- Fixed Assets
- Subledger Accounting (SLA)
- Project Accounting
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience with Oracle Fusion reporting tools, Smart View, and financial data analysis
- Strong understanding of month-end close and financial reporting processes
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of GAAP and internal control requirements
- Experience working in multi-entity or global business environments
- Knowledge of Oracle Fusion ERP integrations and financial data management processes
- Strong Oracle Fusion navigation and troubleshooting capabilities
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify process improvements
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and accountability
