Lead, Infrastructure Security Engineer - MS System Center Suite and Hyper-V

Job Classification: Technology - Engineering & Cloud Lead, Infrastructure Security Engineer – Workforce Identity Management team. This role partners with product owners, tech leads, engineers, and security stakeholders to enhance Prudential’s identity and access management platform, ensuring compliance with Information Security Standards and processes. Typical Day Review and understand applicable Information Security Standards and Engineering Specifications; develop remediation action plans for out‑of‑compliance issues. Maintain product and infrastructure security throughout the system lifecycle, integrating new security features, patches, and updates into environments managed by System Center components (Hyper‑V, SCVMM, SCCM, SCOM, SCDPM). Collaborate with the Information Security Office to complete security hardening of identity management platform infrastructure. Work with other engineering teams to maintain a secure and highly available environment. Coordinate scheduling of patches and upgrades on identity management platform systems and provide accurate operational information in the CMDB. Provide technical support to stakeholders and business application teams. Apply knowledge of relevant and emerging technologies; mentor team members and share insights. Tackle complex problems requiring evaluation of intangible variables. Key Skills & Expertise Bachelor of Computer Science or related experience in identity security field. Security identity architectures and frameworks, privileged access management. Audit and compliance engagements and ability to manage PCI/SOX/Fed regulatory requirements. Mentorship skills, inclusive leadership, and ability to leverage diverse perspectives. Experience with agile development methodologies and Test‑Driven Development (TDD). Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Must‑have Qualifications 7+ years of infrastructure management with Microsoft System Center suite and Hyper‑V. 5+ years focused on IAM technology and 6+ years in information technology/cybersecurity. Proficiency with System Center components: SCVMM, SCCM, SCOM, Scorch, SCDPM. Experience configuring and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server for System Center components. Windows Server administration, Hyper‑V virtualization, PowerShell scripting and automation. Understanding of Azure resource bridge, Azure Arc and other Azure Cloud infrastructure management tools. After‑hours on‑call rotation experience preferred. Preferred Qualifications Active Directory, ADFS, Splunk, ServiceNow, Jira, Jira Align. Capability to document clearly in Confluence.
