Field Service Engineer SDB/SEM - Denver

Salary: $60,008 - 89,997.6 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for a bachelors degree plus 3+ years of hands-on technical experience in electronic systems, including installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating advanced analytical instruments such as SEM, TEM, FIB, or comparable platforms.
• We need strong, practical experience diagnosing and repairing ultra-high vacuum and high-voltage systems, or similar technologies.
• We value proven ability to work effectively with customers and build strong professional relationships.
• We require excellent interpersonal communication skills and professional working proficiency in English.
• We expect a consistent track record of resolving complex systems and subsystems down to component level.
• We need familiarity with MS-DOS and Windows operating environments.
• We require the ability to read and interpret schematics.
• We value knowledge of ultra-high vacuum phenomena and related technology.
• We require the ability to obtain a valid passport and travel regionally and internationally as needed.
• We require a valid drivers license.
• We require the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• We install sophisticated equipment on customer sites and verify proper operation through testing procedures.
• We perform scheduled preventive maintenance visits on-site.
• We diagnose issues and provide repair support for customers and other field personnel.
• We build and maintain positive relationships with customers, system users, and internal colleagues.
• We travel, sometimes at short notice, to resolve customer issues or support field service teams.
• We prepare and submit field service reports.
• We train customers and users on system maintenance.
• We share feedback with product quality teams.
• We contribute written updates and corrections to system documentation.
• We provide guidance on reports, including identifying and isolating unresolved system issues.
