Licensed Practical Nurse LPN

Rivers Health is seeking an LPN on a temporary internal agreement. Responsibilities Renders patient care and a variety of procedures under supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Delivers and documents care according to hospital policies, procedures and philosophies. Follows strict aseptic technique at all times, using sterile technique when indicated. Observes and reports all patient concerns and changes in condition to a Nurse immediately. Safely transports patients, supplies, and specimens. Respects patient privacy rights and the values of individual patients, and provides care accordingly. Assists with orientation of new employees. Completes all annual competencies. Assists with unit cleanliness. Performs other duties that may be assigned. Complies with Corporate Policies, Procedures, and Personnel Employee Handbook. Must be able to cross-train to other units. Demonstrates excellence in customer service skills. Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration and participates in unit meetings.
