Parts Counter Clerk

The Parts Counter Clerk is responsible for researching service technician's parts needs and ordering them as needed, posting parts to work orders, and customer service.

Essential Functions:

1. Ensure a safe work place at all times. #1 Priority.
2. Process quotes and orders for assigned customers
3. Process Quote Requests and Orders in a timely fashion
4. Ensure all emergency orders are processed immediately upon being received.
5. Handle all phone calls quickly and efficiently
6. Keep work area clean and organized
7. Customer satisfaction is essential.
8. Assist the warehouse personnel to ensure freight charges are accurately billed to the customer.
9. Assist with returns and stock orders whenever needed.
10. Assist with shipping and receiving
11. Assist as needed with Parts Warranty and core returns
12. Order priority board and shop parts orders.
13. The service department is given priority for parts research and ordering
14. Participate in training with Vendors and other CMI education programs.
15. Help with annual Inventory.
16. Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Two years of experience with automotive or construction and mining parts sales a plus.
• Experience with parts lookup and sales a must.

Physical Requirements:

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some standing, bending, walking, and lifting up to 50lbs will occasionally be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
