Quality & Test Validation Engineer (Manufacturing)

SFS is seeking a Quality & Test Validation Engineer for our Quality team in our Wyomissing, PA location. This role will drive product quality and validation within R&D by defining and steering testing strategies, ensuring full visibility of validation activities. Act as the key interface between R&D and Quality execution, ensuring tests are defined, prioritized, and translated into robust product decisions and corrective actions. Guide Business Units on product specifications, testing strategies, application requirements, and FM approval processes, ensuring a strong alignment between performance, validation, and real-world use.

Responsibilities

• Define and standardize testing strategies and methodologies
• Build and maintain testing dashboards (visibility & traceability)
• Coordinate 8D and RCA processes from R&D perspective
• Monitor implementation and sustainability of corrective actions
• Act as decision point for product validation acceptance
• Ensure data consistency via SAP and product tracking systems
• Align product specifications and validation results
• Guide Product Lines on product specifications, performance requirements, approvals and certification strategy (OEM, FM, etc.)
• Leverage data from testing, production, and suppliers to enhance failure analysis, testing strategy, predictive quality insights
• Other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field recommended, or equivalent proven experience
• 3-5+ years in Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Validation
• Strong experience in RCA, 8D, and structured problem solving
• Exposure to product development and industrial environments
• Experience with mechanical and/or corrosion testing concepts
• Familiarity with SAP or product tracking systems
• Interest in data analytics and digital tools is a strong plus
