Service Writer

About the role Parkline Motors is seeking an experienced Service Writer to support our automotive service and vehicle preparation operations. This role is responsible for managing work orders, coordinating internal service and repair work, and ensuring vehicles are ready for sale and delivery. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to communicate effectively with technicians and internal teams in a fast-paced dealership environment. What you’ll do Create, update, and manage service work orders accurately and efficiently Coordinate vehicle repairs and service work prior to sale and post-purchase when needed Communicate with technicians and service staff to track progress and ensure timely completion Research automotive parts and assist with parts coordination and ordering Maintain accurate service records and documentation within dealership systems Provide internal updates on repair timelines, vehicle status, and completion expectations Assist with vehicle delivery coordination when follow-up service work is required Support workflow efficiency and organization within the service department Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a Service Writer or in an automotive service environment required Working knowledge of automotive repair processes and parts required Strong communication skills with technicians, service teams, and management Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple work orders and priorities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working with service management software and computer-based systems Valid driver’s license required Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Schedule & Work Environment Full-time position Day shift schedule Weekend availability may be required based on dealership needs On-site role in an automotive service and vehicle preparation environment Combination of desk work and time spent on the shop floor coordinating repairs Compensation & Benefits Pay based on experience Benefits may include: 401(k) Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person – Parkline Motors #J-18808-Ljbffr GP Motor Company
