Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current, valid OT license in the state or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings is highly desirable
- Proficient knowledge of the IEP process, and ability to contribute to team meetings
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Comfort working with students of varied ages and diverse ability levels
- Willingness to adapt interventions to individual student needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans for students
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services as outlined in IEPs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student goals
- Maintain meticulous documentation of student progress and adjustments to interventions
- Assist in developing classroom strategies and modifications to enhance student participation
- Stay current with best practices and developments in school-based occupational therapy
