This role will focus heavily on re-roofing, service, maintenance, repairs, and roof asset management opportunities rather than large-scale new construction. Responsibilities:Prepare detailed estimates and proposals for commercial roofing projectsReview plans, specifications, reports, and site conditions to develop accurate project pricingPerform quantity takeoffs and material calculationsDevelop budgets for re-roofing, repairs, maintenance, waterproofing, and restoration projectsConduct site visits to evaluate existing roof conditions and project scopeSolicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricingWork closely with operations teams to ensure scopes are accurate and executableIdentify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutionsMaintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, vendors, and manufacturersAssist in contract reviews, scope development, and project handoffsSupport business development efforts by providing timely and competitive proposalsQualifications:3+ years of commercial roofing estimating experienceStrong understanding of re-roofing, service, maintenance, and roof replacement projectsKnowledge of TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, BUR, coatings, metal roofing, and waterproofing systemsExperience reading plans, specifications, and technical documentsStrong understanding of labor production rates, material pricing, and project costingProficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating softwareExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneouslyPreferred Qualifications:Experience with The EDGE, AccuLynx, Roofr, Dataforma, or similar roofing softwareKnowledge of manufacturer systems and warranty requirementsExperience estimating maintenance agreements and service repair workBackground working for a commercial roofing contractorThis position is ideal for an estimator who enjoys the fast-paced nature of re-roofing, service, and maintenance work.
