Job Description

The Filler Machine Operator works on yogurt production lines to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe filling operations. This role focuses on operating and monitoring filling equipment, maintaining precise production records, and quickly troubleshooting issues to keep the line running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Operate filler machines on yogurt production lines in a safe, efficient, and consistent manner.
• Monitor machine performance and product flow to maintain quality and production targets.
• Perform routine loading and unloading of materials and product into and out of the filling equipment.
• Complete accurate and timely production and quality record keeping as required.
• Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues with filling and production equipment.
• Adjust machine settings as needed to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
• Follow established production procedures and work instructions throughout the shift.
• Support general production activities as needed to keep the line clean, organized, and running effectively.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery and tools.
• Experience or strong ability in machine operation within a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to accurately keep and maintain production and quality records.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for mechanical or process-related issues.
• Capability to perform loading and unloading tasks safely and efficiently.
• Attention to detail to ensure consistent product quality and accurate documentation.
• Reliability and willingness to work on second or third shift in a production facility.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in food, beverage, or dairy manufacturing is beneficial.
• Experience operating filling, packaging, or similar production equipment is a plus.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.

Work Environment

This role is based in a dairy manufacturing facility focused on yogurt production. You will work on second or third shift in a fast-paced production environment around filling and packaging equipment. The work involves standing for extended periods, handling materials for loading and unloading, and operating machinery in a structured, process-driven setting while following all facility procedures and safety guidelines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce, CA.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Commerce,CA.
