Complete assigned inspections on time Perform other duties as directed Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs and be capable of performing physical labor Assistforemanin the installation of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment Be enrolled in Grinnell's approved Apprenticeship Program,maintainingall requirements of the Apprenticeship Standards Have a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly Qualifications – External What we look for High School Diploma or Equivalent NICET Icertification or ability to obtain within 8 months of hire. NICET II certification or ability to obtain within24 monthsof hire. Able to obtain andretainany licensesthat are requiredby National, State and Local codes. Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications,programsschematics and operational/product manuals. Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage. Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs. Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficultpositionsuch as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends to meet customer requirements. Willingto travel out of town. Demonstratea high levelof customer service. Ability to adhere to, implement, andfollow safety guidelines and procedures at all times. Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, andan abilityto learn quickly. Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements. Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test. HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $25.57 - $35.19 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflectsthe target compensation for this role.
