TRAINING TECHNICIAN

Summary You will serve as a TRAINING TECHNICIAN in the Surface Combat Systems Training Command SURFCOMSYSTRNCMD GREAT LAKES. Responsibilities You will act as a Command Pay and Personnel Administrator (CPPA). You will liaison externally and internally with various departments to facilitate transfer of students. You will provide technical assistance and counseling to officers and enlisted personnel serviced by Training Support Center. You will coordinate and participate in an indoctrination program, verifying arrival of students and submitting reporting documents. You will provide a full range of clerical and administrative service and customer service. You will use online student management systems (e.g., Corporate Enterprise Training and Administration Resources System [CETARS]). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing clerical, administrative, and customer service; including general administration, office automation, clerical support, program analyses, and compilation of progress reports and statistics; 2) Utilizing various automated systems (i.e. BUPERS (Bureau of Naval Personnel) Online (BOL), Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS), Fleet Training Management and Planning System (FLTMPS), Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource Systems (CeTARS), Saleforce 3) Maintaining and updating student information (i.e. academic schedules, training programs); and 4) Assisting staff and students with questions and issues related to administrative functions. Education Additional Information Term appointments may be extended up to 8 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations. Additionally, you may be noncompetitively converted to a permanent career-conditional or career appointment under specific conditions.
