Maintenance Technician III

Maintenance Technician III, ElectricianResponsible for electrical maintenance, repair, and improvement for process and facility systems. Work includes troubleshooting, ordering, installation and maintenance of high voltage and low voltage systems. Will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the nature of the processes and the equipment connected to the electrical system. Applies his/her full knowledge of these systems in the performance of troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment up to 480V.Responsibilities include:Compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.Troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for Distributive Control Systems (DCS) or emergency lighting.Testing, maintenance of back-up batteries, and preventive maintenance on electronic components.Performing preventive maintenance testing on transformer minizones and back-up generator system.Assisting in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis.Training others on tasks.Being proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines and creating or editing maintenance job plans.Fully proficient in their core function, performing advanced level tasks.Assisting cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization.Supporting continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site.Knowledgeable in the operation of Soft Starts and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).Troubleshooting, repair, and conducting preventive maintenance on this equipment.Knowledgeable in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Process Controls/DCS or Infrared Thermography.Troubleshooting, repair, and conducting preventive maintenance on motor control centers.Understanding motor load characteristics and conducting diagnostic testing on motors both in the energized and de-energized state.Demonstrating understanding of Electrical Standards, NEC, and GMP requirements pertaining to the equipment in the assigned zone.Knowing basic CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) functions and how to use various queries pertaining to maintenance activities such as ordering parts.Qualifications include:HS diploma with 10+ yrs. experience or Relevant Certificate with 5+ yrs. experience or Associates technical degree with 3+ yrs.
