Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor welding machines
• Assist in assembling steel joists on a production line
• Read and follow basic schematics and instructions
• Support welding tasks (MIG, TIG, or Stick)
• Operate machinery such as laser equipment (as trained)
• Handle materials and perform touch-up painting
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
• Follow all safety procedures

Required Skills

• Basic welding knowledge preferred
• Ability to read simple drawings or instructions
• Strong attention to detail
• Team-oriented with good communication
• Reliable with consistent attendance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or general labour
• Trade or vocational training
• Comfortable in a heavy industrial environment

Work Environment:

• Steel manufacturing plant (bridge components)
• Hot in summer, cold in winter
• 2nd shift (mandatory), Monday–Friday + Saturdays as needed

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Point of Rocks, MD.

The pay range for this position is $21.17 - $24.17/hr.
