Dermatology & Facial Plastic Surgery Practice Appointment SchedulerOur team is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join our growing Dermatology & Facial Plastic Surgery practice. The person in this position is part of the team concept in The Woodruff Institute's health delivery system, which is devoted to the delivery of the highest quality dermatologic and aesthetic care in an outpatient clinical setting, with emphasis on personalized, quality care in an elegant environment.The Appointment Scheduler assists patients on the telephone, schedules appointments, gather accurate demographic information and insurance information, and registers patients.Essential functionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Provide patient-centered customer serviceAnswer multi-line telephoneSchedule patient appointments using the computerized scheduling systemSchedule appointments to best meet the needs of the patient in adherence with our providers' schedule and availabilityReschedule and cancel appointments as neededVerify insurance eligibilityRegister patients, verify and update patient data, prepare necessary confirmation letters, welcome packets and forms to send to patients, as assignedStrictly adhere to HIPAA rules to maintain patient confidentialityCompetenciesHARD SKILLS: Strong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with medical scheduling and electronic medical records softwareSOFT SKILLS: Extreme Customer Service FocusAbility to multi-taskStrong attention to detailAbility to maintain composureCourteous and ProfessionalAbility to work as a member of a tight teamWork environmentVery fast-paced environment.
