Job Title: Travel PCU / Stepdown RN - Nights (Art Lines & Drip Titration Required)

Job Description: Malone Healthcare is hiring an adaptable and highly skilled Travel PCU Registered Nurse for a 13-week night-shift contract at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, NE. This 40-bed progressive care unit manages a diverse, high-acuity adult population (cardiac, vascular, stroke, renal, and sepsis) with a consistent 1:4-5 staffing ratio.

Weekly Schedule:

• Shift: Nights, 3x12-Hour shifts
• Hours: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM (1830 - 0630)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule Rules: Every-other-weekend and a minimum of 2 holidays required. Block scheduling is not permitted unless it is a weekends-only contract. No travel duos requiring linked schedules.
• On-Call Response: Strict 30-minute response time required when on call.

Position Requirements:

• Experience: 1–2 years of solid acute care PCU/Stepdown experience.
• Clinical Skills (Hard Stops): Must be fully competent in managing Arterial Lines , operating high-flow respiratory equipment, and independently interpreting telemetry strips.
• Drip Mastery: Proven competency titrating critical infusions (Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Insulin).
• Certifications: Active AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
• Onboarding Exam: Must pass an open-book skills exam with a score of 90% or higher on Wednesday of orientation (failure to pass results in termination).

Strict Corporate Guardrails:

• Employment Restrictions: Cannot hold active FT, PT, or PRN status with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility.
• Radius Rule: Must live 50+ miles away. A valid Driver's License must be submitted upfront with your profile to verify your permanent address.
• Nail Policy: Artificial nails are strictly prohibited in patient care areas (non-compliance results in immediate contract termination).
• RTO Limit: Max 7 days per 13-week contract; must be requested upfront at the exact time of submission.

Unit Highlights:

• Support: 1:12 Nurse Aide/PCT ratios; unit utilizes advanced technology including overhead lifts, vein finders, and bladder scanners.
• Floating: May float to Med/Surg or to the ICU to care for PCU-acuity patients.
