As an entry-level technician you will be responsible for answering phone calls and email support requests, troubleshoot and repair personal computer hardware and peripherals, mostly through a remote connection. In addition, you will monitor and maintain network systems, troubleshoot and make improvements to customer's networks and printers as necessary. You may also be required to assist with running structured cabling and troubleshooting internal building Layer 1 connections.At least one of the following certifications are required after the first 3 month probationary period:CompTIA A+CompTIA Net+CompTIA Security+MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician)MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) or MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer)CCNA or equivalent certificationsExcellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively as a member of a team. Good customer communication skills, experience working with help desk staff, writing e-mail responses, and providing basic written how-to help information. Ability to follow instructions is highly valued.
