Contract | 13 weeks (up to 20 weeks considered) | 3x12 or 4x12 hours | Midshift (11:00–23:30) | Every other weekend required | Holidays required as scheduled | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume Emergency Department serving all age ranges from infant to geriatric populations
• Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio within a 47-bed ED with an average daily census of 130
• Perform assessments, interventions, and documentation in accordance with ED protocols and scope of practice
• Float within the Emergency Department specialty as required; travelers are first to float
• Participate in holiday scheduling as shifts fall within the assignment period
• Maintain active and compliant certifications including RN MD State License, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NIH Stroke Scale, and CPI throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license at time of submission
• BLS certification – American Heart Association only
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
• PALS certification – American Heart Association only
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• CPI certification required – The Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor
• Local candidates are welcome and will be considered at the applicable local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience preferred; candidates with less than 2 years and a strong clinical skillset will be considered
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Comfort with floating within specialty scope and no scheduling restrictions
• Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced ED environment across a broad patient population
