FACTORY MACHINE INSPECTOR

The Factory Machine Inspector is a highly customer-focused, field-based role responsible for conducting on-site machine inspections while serving as a brand ambassador for SENNEBOGEN. This position partners directly with dealers and customers across North and South America to ensure optimal equipment performance and deliver an exceptional service experience. Extensive travel is required to support customer needs and strengthen relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer & Relationship Management Serve as a trusted advisor during on-site visits, delivering a high-quality, customer-centric experience Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, technicians, and end users Represent SENNEBOGEN professionally and reinforce brand value in all interactions Capture and communicate customer feedback to internal stakeholders Field Inspections & Technical Execution Perform comprehensive inspections evaluating machine condition, safety, and performance Identify risks and provide clear, actionable recommendations Document findings through detailed reports, photos, and observations Distribute inspection results to dealers and customers in a timely manner Travel & Territory Management Plan and optimize travel schedules to maximize territory coverage Coordinate directly with dealers and customers to schedule site visits Manage travel logistics including flights, accommodations, and transportation Maintain flexibility to respond to urgent customer needs across regions

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED

Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment and machinery Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, travel-intensive role Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Previous field service, inspection, or heavy equipment experience Experience working directly with customers or dealer networks

CORE PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

Physical Activity: Regular walking, standing, bending, climbing, and working on uneven terrain. Ability to safely access and inspect equipment at heights, including climbing ladders, steps, and machine structures. Safety Equipment (PPE): Required use of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, high-visibility clothing, and steel-toe boots, in compliance with site-specific safety requirements. Noise Exposure: Routine exposure to high noise levels in heavy industrial environments. Hearing protection may be required at many job sites. Visual & Technical Inspection Requirements: Must be able to visually inspect machinery components in detail, identify wear, damage, and safety concerns, and capture photographic documentation in various lighting conditions. Travel & Work Conditions: Extensive travel (50% -75%) with work performed across multiple customer locations. Role requires flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, time zones, and extended periods away from home. Manual Handling & Lifting: Ability to occasionally lift, carry, and move tools, parts, or equipment weighing up to 25–50 lbs. Environmental Hazards: Potential exposure to grease, oil, moving mechanical parts, and other industrial hazards while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
