We are seeking an energetic and friendly Barista to join our team in Long Beach, NJ. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in creating quality beverages and food, and thrives in a fast-paced, upbeat restaurant environment.

The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, and passionate about hospitality. You will play an important role in creating a welcoming experience for guests while maintaining excellent product quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, specialty beverages, and other menu items according to established standards.
• Provide friendly, efficient, and attentive service to every guest.
• Take customer orders accurately and process cash and credit transactions.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials.
• Prepare food and beverage items with attention to quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked barista and service area.
• Operate and properly care for espresso machines, coffee equipment, and other small equipment.
• Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Restock coffee, beverages, food products, cups, condiments, and other supplies as needed.
• Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
• Handle guest questions and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Support the team during busy periods and be willing to jump in wherever needed.
• Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Previous barista, café, restaurant, or customer-service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Friendly, outgoing, and positive personality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable handling cash and credit-card transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with restaurant service.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Ideal Candidate
