Embedded Software Engineer

Essential Functions:Design, build, and test software for connected medical devices, ensuring adherence to industry standards and performance metricsTranslate product requirements into design specifications and verification testsWork independently as well as on small teamsCollaborate with a team of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to integrate system software into market-ready medical device productsEvaluate real-world system performance with hands-on verification and validation testingAdhere to project timelines to deliver on-time designs, prototypes, test results, and documentationRequired Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:BS with 3+ years of experience or MS with 1+ years of experienceExperience developing production software/firmware for hardware systemsExperience programming in C++ and/or RustExperience with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, RS-485, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or BLEExperience with data structures, data processing, and algorithm developmentExperience developing software tools, utilities, and libraries/componentsExperience with git source control and pull request processesExperience with hands-on prototyping and debuggingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and in small teamsAbility to travel up to 10% of the timePreferred Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:Experience developing software/firmware for medical devices, wearables, or IoT/smart devicesWorking knowledge of wireless communication protocols and cybersecurity principlesExperience working with sensors and processing sensor dataExperience programming in RustOur Values:Our Life Moves Us philosophy is built on four values: Passionate About Innovation, Customer Focused, Teamwork, and Driven.Passionate about Innovation: Improving patient care by delivering advanced technology to our customers is at the core of what we do.
