Essential Responsibilities:

Uphold privacy and security standards for Protected Health Information (PHI) while fostering effective communication with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies. Provide care within your licensed scope, demonstrating proficiency in unit-specific competencies and policies. Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individuals from newborns to geriatric patients. Educate patients and their families on care processes and provide clinical oversight to Speech Language Pathology Assistants.

Education:

Must hold licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist through the appropriate state licensing board.

Experience:

Previous experience in a similar clinical environment is preferred but not required.

Requirements:

Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation. Valid driver's license and auto insurance meeting regional requirements if driving is necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong understanding of speech therapy principles, effective communication skills, and basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements:

Light work involving occasional lifting up to 25 lbs and frequent lifting up to 10 lbs, with 11-25% of the day spent standing or walking.
